
Damn good Recipe! As fall approaches, it’s nice to have a nice warm pot of beans and rice…but can we make it better? I think so…let’s make our beans on another level with sausage and big chunks of ham, and let’s make our rice a step above with coconut rice. Damn!

Red Beans With Ham and Sausage
1 pound soaked kidney beans (or any bean)
1 pound sausage
3 lbs smoked ham
To taste cayenne pepper
To taste: salt and course black pepper
1 bell pepper
1 Bay leaf
1 cup rough chopped onions
½ Tablespoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon onion powder
2 full heads roasted garlic
Vegetable or chicken broth
Water to cover
Coconut Saffron Rice
1 Cup Vigo Saffron Yellow Rice (Authentic Spanish Recipe)
13.5 oz coconut milk
I recommend 1 cup of rice per person
